Here are a few of our letters already!

I want to both sides of customer service in a very fair way.  I needed a chainsaw chain sharpened and I thought I could have it done right away.   I only use this chain saw once or twice a year.    I stopped into one of our shops that did that and they said they only sharpen chains on Saturday mornings.  I thought that might work but I was leaving town around 9am and asked if I could have mine done first.   The man behind the counter said they can't do that and they are sharpened by in the order they come in.      I thought to myself who else would know if I cut in line on a Saturday morning as the other customers were not even there they just dropped off their chains. They suggested I by a new chain that way I would always have a sharp one.  Like I said I only use it once a year so to have two chains seemed silly to me.  So I left there and thought I would swing into Patzer's and see how long of a wait it would be.   They asked when I needed it.  I said I was leaving town in the morning so he said well we better do it right now.   They grabbed the chain and headed off to the back room.   I waited about 10 minutes and by that time I had picked up some oil, gloves and a new rake and I had a sharp chain!

Many thanks to the guys at Patzer's!  Now that is SERVICE!!

After reading about all the bad experience with business in Marshall I can say that there is a store that I have always had nothing but great service, the price is fair and the Quality is also great. I  have made a call on Sunday and there were happy to come and help us out. In fact they advertise that ,all you have to do is call and they will open up whatever is best for the customer.  The name of the store Is Mister Cool's Clothing, If you don't believe me check it out.

A very happy shopper.

I would have to agree with both of the first two emails.    Mr. Cool's and Patzers have always had very good customer service.  May be in part because it is family owned and they are always there.  I am always very impressed with those two businesses.    Nice and neat inside and outside.  Very respectable businesses that we should all be very proud to have downtown.

When I read this request for positive business comments, I was glad to see this.  It is a great place for people that have had bad experiences to find where to go to get good ones.  The first business that came to mind was Mr. Cools.  He is the best.  I see others had the same thought!  Most of my husbands good clothes are bought there, and now we started getting a few for our teenage son from him also.  I agree 100% with what the person with the chainsaw issues had to say about Patzer's.  We have had nothing but good experiences there.  I bet your chain saw issues happened at the same place that we took our chainsaw to when we suddenly had an issue and had a tree 1/2 the way cut through near our house.  We asked for help (still under warranty - purchased from him) and even though it was late spring he had to repair snowmobiles and would get to it in a few days.  Another great business to add to the list is Hy-Vee.  Prices are reasonable, they are pleasant to customers.  They constantly help groups or individuals with fundraisers - even allowing them to sell things that they could easily sell within the store.  Gas prices in Marshall was always the highest prior to Hy-Vee gas.  Now they are competitive to other areas we travel and often the cheapest.  Thanks for bringing Marshall gas prices to a more reasonable level (at least as reasonable as we can get these days)!  I can easily say that 90% of my grocery shopping is right here at my hometown Hy-Vee store!

I ALWAYS have the best experiences at
Main Street Stylists and Starbucks in Marshall!

At both places they put the customer first, seem interested in you as a customer… no matter who you are. They put your needs first and want your experience to be a pleasant one.

Main Street does great hair and offers a ton of great products and other services! Starbucks makes the best drinks in town. YEAH!

I hope you are keeping score on the Patzer’s and Mister Cool’s comments as their service and value are legendary. Service and satisfaction from these two businesses are always the examples of Marshall’s friendliness and commitment to Downtown. I would also rank Johnson’s Paint and Wallpaper store as an example of quality service and creativity by Renee and Kalen who absolutely did a fantastic job with a private collection of pictures for our daughter. Thanks for the personal attention and making our downtown special. A very satisfied Downtown customer.

John Full and his Staff at Marcotte Jewelry in Marshall's Downtown are TOP NOTCH.  They appreciate their customers and do a great job in following up with small or large purchases and / or repairs.  They have a wonderful gift collection and gift wrap for free which is a very nice service.  On several occasions they have taken care of getting items personalized / engraved for us with very short notice and we appreciate their professionalism and positive response with each request.  I feel like a valued customer each time I enter their store.  Their attention to detail is outstanding!!

Yep  same experience at patzers. We bought a new snowblower a few years ago from them. It needed a adjustment of some kind and when I called to see when I should bring it in they said no need they will be right out and they took care of the issue yet that day. WOW.

I had to do some last minute shopping on a Saturday to find a
centerpiece for a table display for an event held at the American
Legion later that evening.  I had something specific in mind and was
almost sure I could find what I needed downtown.  I went to one store
asking for a price and some information on an item I saw on a top
shelf.  The two ladies never even came out from behind the counter
and made a statement that if I REALLY was interested in it, they
could find somebody to pull it down.  I then went to the Orphanage
Antiques.  Anybody who has ever been in there knows how much
inventory they carry and I knew I could be in there for hours
searching out what I was looking for.  I was pleasantly greeted right
away and I felt I had my own personal shopper.  The lady helped me
find exactly what I was looking for and knew right where to find
everything.  As other customers came in, they were greeted as well
and it felt like not a single person was neglected and everybody had
been acknowledged.  My experience was so terrific there that I am now
trying to figure out if there is anything else I need to purchase
that could be purchased there.  It is truly a unique store and my
shopping experience was above and beyond.  Kudos to you, Orphanage
Antiques!

Hy-Vee...Hy-Vee...Hy-Vee! Great customer service. I have celiac disease and
cannot eat anything that contains gluten. They have a huge listing of
products that are gluten free and have gone out of there way to bring in
products that I have found online that are great tasting and gluten free.
This helps with my cost tremendously. Kuddo's to Hy-Vee, I can't tell you
how much you are appreciated!

Tammy

I think Lilibets does a wonderful job of providing great customer service.  Each and every time I shop there they are so kind and cheerful.  They are very helpful in finding great new looks as well as thinking of great gift options.  I really enjoy having a great women's clothing store right in Marshall.  The girls at Lilibets are the best!  I really can't say enough great things about Lilibets!

I have always had great service at Johnson's Paint & Wallpaper, Patzer's, & Mr Cool's.  There a couple of other locations that have not been mentioned yet.  The staff at Bound to Read is awesome.  They will suggest items of interest & are very willing to order whatever you want if they don't have it on hand.  Thrifty White offers multiple items & the staff is always friendly.  Hats off to all of you for your hard work.
